THE PHOTOGRAPHY FOUNDATION
The Foto Colectania Foundation is a private non-profit organization (reg. no. 1554) which opened in Barcelona in 2002 and whose purpose is to promulgate Photography and Collecting through exhibitions, activities (conferences, seminars, travels) and editing catalogs.
Foto Colectania also has a photography collection that includes more than 2,000 works by Spanish and Portuguese authors from 1950 to the present. It also has a library of free consultation and a conservation camera where the photographic archive is being kept, Paco Gómez's archive (donated by his family in 2001) and the deposit of a part of John Redón's collection is saved.
The foundation is largely financed with the help of sponsors, friends and associates of the foundation and external collaborations.
